The Hunger Games Midnight Premier

Last night, Ashlyn and I went to The Hunger Games midnight premiere. If any of you have ever been to a midnight premiere, you are probably aware that you have to get there like four months early to actually get a spot in line. Ashlyn and I got there about 7:45 pm, and took our spot on our blankets. We got out Scrabble and dorkishly started playing it, and then her mom brought us Panda Express. The line was lining the HIGHWAY (fenced off, of course) and we thought it was long where WE were? HA! No.

It was like Woodstock or something. There were like 8 million people (ok, not really, but might as well have been), and everyone was playing guitar or ukulele, reading the book , long boarding and whatever they felt like.
At one point a couple dressed as Katniss and Peeta showed up. They had the costumes PERFECT.

When the 5 hours was finally up, we got seated. I was beyond tired and started to struggle to stay awake. Luckily there was a couple who kept kissing and giggling and stuff... and annoyingly eating a bag of chips to keep me awake.

The director knew exactly what he was doing, but I don't like how they left out a few details that made the book. Like they did the pin thing wrong, and the flashback of Peeta giving Katniss the bread was really vague. It was one of those movies that's a lot deeper if you have read the book, but I still recommend it.
